(May 29, 2018, 7:52 am)This elementary school should be ready to go by the Fall of 2019. It's located inside the Sterling Lakes Community. Also, it is named after Bel Nafegar Sanchez... A 30+ yr educator in Alvin ISD, Alvin's Citizen of the Year in 2013, she helped start and currently runs the Alvin Family Community Center. She has also been seated on the boards of different non-profit organizations. Being such a prominent and philanthropic figure in the city and community, they decided to name this school after her. I think it's fitting. Good job.
