(December 23, 2015, 4:38 pm)If you are an experienced rider and do not have horses of your own and want to go somewhere that has horses that will actually listen and perform beyond the typical nose-to-tail, and you want a little more freedom in your ride, then this is the place for you! You will NOT find another stable in 300 miles that will give you the freedom and responsibility that Silver's Trails will. However, if you are completely inexperienced, then you are in the best of hands, both horses and owners. But this is not your typical trail-ride. The horses will walk leisurely nose-to-tail if desired, but they will also do pretty much whatever you ask them without any arguing. Most trail horses have been dumbed down and trained to stay on the trail at a walk no matter what, for the safety of young ones. Understandable. With the liability comes limitations. Silver's Trails has eliminated that liability by not allowing riders under 17 on the trails. If you are expecting large pristine barns, go elsewhere, this is a small operation that is meant to cater to a special crowd, and the price is beyond fair. You would pay more than double elsewhere for such a privately-catered ride. ENJOY!
