Smaller congregation with BIG heart! If you’re looking for a place where you can become known and a place to belong, please go for a Sunday service! Look for Mark or Andy, and they’ll connect you!
Our family moved from Michigan and were in search for a new home church, we found Water's Edge online and attended a few services and knew that we found our new home away from home. Our kids love the many different programs and discipleship training and my wife and I each have great Women's and Men's groups to plug into. We are thankful we found Water's Edge!
I struggled for several years trying to find a good church that had a great young adult’s group to be engaged in. It wasn’t until I went to a men’s retreat that they were hosting that I found that group. Through their young adult group, The Garden, I was able to get engaged with a group of others my age and build lasting relationships with them. I have since been attending Water’s edge for roughly 4 years and have had the opportunity to have others help me grow in my faith through Sunday services, small groups, and one on one conversations. I grew up in church all my life, but this was the first place that truly invested in my growth.
I was not a Christian until about 10 years ago. It took a friend passing away to get me to get serious about my faith. Thankfully, my family had already started going to Water's Edge and my wife didn't give up on me. This Church Family was just what my family needed. There were great opportunities for our children to get tied in and even go on Mission Trips. There are ample opportunities to be a part of small groups and serve as a part of the many teams that help Water's Edge run on a shoestring budget. The most important reason we have stayed is that every message, decision, etc. is grounded in the Gospel.
I've been going to Water's Edge for almost 17 years now and have really become even stronger in my faith since coming here. The pastors really engage you and have opportunities to participate in learning even more than what you do at the worship services, through small groups, missions, retreats and bible study classes. Been a Christian all my life, Lutheran too, but the relaxed approach and welcoming and friendly church family here really help with feeling a part of the family from the moment you walk in.
