I was born with Femoral Acetabular Impingement, a pretty rare deformation that is not particularly common of someone of my genetic profile. Dr. Ellis was recommended as “THE guy” for this type of surgery, and he concurred that I had likely the worst case he’d ever seen. He could see that I was interested in learning more about the condition and took the time to explain as much as I wanted to know for as long as I wanted to speak about it. That went a long way towards making me feel better about having two hip surgeries at 18 y.o. Not to mention there is nobody else I would want performing surgery on my hips. His work was excellent. You would be hard pressed to find a more excellent surgeon for your surgery, or to take care of your children.

About 5 years ago, I had a severe sports injury (knee cap broken in half) and was taken to the hospital that night. After being initially treated, I needed immediate surgery to repair my knee and relieve the internal bleeding going on in it. Dr. Henry B. Ellis and his team were my surgeons. After 2 surgeries and a long recovery time a couple years later, I had finally decided to remove the hardware that was used in my knee, as I needed to in order to join the Marines. This entire time, Dr. Ellis had assured my mother and I how well everything would go and was as passionate as can be about the work he was planning to perform.

It was a night and day difference with the hardware finally out, the scar looked much better than before and almost unnoticeable now, and the recovery was much faster. He then gave me a letter to finally get waived by the military's medical processing center which was ultimately approved. I have since recovered more than 100% from the whole deal and have never been bothered by my once broken knee. I have completed great accomplishments in the military as well and many other goals since then without my knee giving me a single problem, and I have only Dr. Ellis to thank for his passion and knowledge of the intricacy within his work.

Amazing Dr. , surgeon and human being. Scottish Rites is hands down top notch. Every single person we’ve encountered has been genuinely caring, helpful and most importantly they took care of my son and ALL of his needs- (including emotional) after his 2nd ACL tear. We are forever grateful to be apart of this brilliant and loving community.
