Lebanon Trail High School

Coming from a terrible school like Clark Middle School to Lebanon Trail is just a blessing.

In the 2017 year the previous principal who opened the school left to take an administrative job in a different district, along with the Band Director and a few other teachers. This creates a few minor differences in the school but nothing major.

The big thing that I have noticed this year is that the new head band director doesn't tend to balance with other electives and she has the mentality that "band is the only thing that matters and if you're in another elective then you are a lower human being." When the Band plays at a football game, they schedule out the entire fine arts hallway until 5:30 (despite not using most of it). This creates scheduling issues for the other electives who want to have after school practices, like Choir and Orchestra. My sister is in the band and she is having scheduling issues revolving around Band and Theatre. Thankfully, our current Principal is not letting the new band director run around controlling the students lives and is allowing the other electives much more freedom than we had under the previous principal. I feel represented (moreso than previously) in Choir this year, even if the architects built the band hall too small and we are sharing the choir room with the percussion. Thank you, Mr. Duce!
