We started thinking about renovating things like the kitchen. It was just an idea. Then our designer, Barbara Gilbert introduced us to Thad Ates.

We met together and he could see the plan and what was needed. We were concerned about getting into our space for Thanksgiving and in 6 weeks we were in.

His bids are firm with no “gotchas” in them. He is clear about changes and gives the opportunity to decide to make the change (and spend the money) or not. He found issues that would have caused us trouble for years to come and brought us people to repair them at a more than reasonable cost.

His crews were courteous, clean, and always showed up. You did not have to worry about the security of the home or whether something would be damaged.

Thad even arranged for our furniture to be moved to our storage area, moved it back when finished, and hired a cleaning firm to come clean.

We cannot recommend Thad and his son Matt enough. In fact, my wife has already passed his name on to several people.

We could not have had the quality at the best price without Thad.
