(October 15, 2022, 9:57 pm)My family member had a brain bleed on Christmas Day in another state. When I got to the hospital I was shocked by his behavioral, mental and physical state. I knew i was going to find the best professional care for him possible. Because we had toured Teresa’s House years before, as my husband is a MD and I was a NP, we knew without a doubt, this was the “creme da is creme” of memory and assisted living care. Teresa’s House professional staff (thank-you Godwin, Teresa, Krista and Teri) coordinated an evaluation of my family member, an air medical evacuation from the hospital when he was medically stable, and even helped with furniture until we could bring his! They went out of their way to help our family emotionally and physically, which ad you can imagine was an extremely difficult time. I can’t emphasize how wonderful organized and caring the staff is, including the nurses, doctors, assistants, therapists, chefs, facility management and upper management. As medical professionals my husband and I had already known of Godwin and Teresa amazing reputation of being ethical, organized and strive for excellence. Our family has been pleasantly pleased with the care and precise medication delivery to our loved one. I have been a nurse since 1982, and am super impressed with the culture of the houses and the amenities of the physical building. My family member thrived with the excellent homemade fresh food, with social opportunities, barber shop, his private, stylish and updated private room and bathroom, along with loads of closet space. Thank-you to all the wonderful and awesome staff in memory care, and thank-you for helping him progress to assisted living! This is the best of the best for senior care special needs.
(October 15, 2022, 7:00 pm)We couldn’t be more pleased with the care, love and attention Mom is receiving at Teresa’s House-McKinney, Texas. The best decision we ever made!
In Mom’s prior facility I needed to be there 7 days a week and eventually was forced to hire a sitter every night to ensure Mom’s care; from ensuring she is clean, receiving the correct medications and on time, bed changed, laundry done, room cleaned, food is eatable, etc. Teresa’s House takes care of it all and then some! We now can go 2-3 per week just to visit and spend quality time with Mom. The staff is wonderful, including the owners. Everyone we have encountered has a smile on their face and are truly happy to be there. They take the time to visit with the residents….sitting down and actually taking the time to talk to them. Mom is treated like a Queen, which she is so deserving of. Meals are prepared daily by their chef and are always yummy and healthy. The houses and outside grounds are beautiful. When you step into one of the 3 houses you would swear you are in someone’s home. If your loved one wants to sit outside, they have lovely front porches.
We are so thankful we moved Mom to Teresa’s House. We’re just sad we didn’t know about them 2 years ago when Mom moved out of our home. We highly suggest checking Teresa’s House out for your loved one. They are truly the best!!!!!
(July 21, 2022, 4:28 pm)What an amazing home Teresa's House ended up being for my mom. It was a home away from her home, and I am so grateful to the staff for all they did to provide a welcoming, caring and loving atmosphere for her. The nurses are amazing and oftentimes greeted me at the door to give me an update on my mom! I also loved being able to come and go as my schedule allowed me. Thank you Cassandra, Teresa, Godwin, and all the nursing staff!!!!! I appreciate you more than you know.
(January 12, 2022, 9:45 pm)When choosing best fit, best care, and best in class, the staff of Teresa’s House hits it out of the park. They love on my mom like she’s their family member. Mom fell in June 2021 and couldn’t get back with us, we went on a search. Teresa’s House has been a high level of care that is consistent, caring, and listens to our concerns about aging in place. Having the commitment to senior living from the top down is evident at every level. Maintenance helped with a light bulb today and took the time to have a conversation with her. The little things make the biggest difference. She’s bedridden but mentally sharp for an 87+ senior. As an only child I feel confident I have the right place for where we are in this season of life. I’m very thankful this is available for our family.
(December 20, 2021, 3:05 pm)I truly can not find the words to properly convey our satisfaction and appreciation for the Team and Community at Teresa's House. It is such a comfort knowing that we can sleep at night and carry on with our daily lives confident that our sweet parents are lovingly and expertly looked after. It takes very special people and skills to care for the elderly and all of their unique and changing needs. We moved our parents to Teresa's House after a horrific experience at another community. It was such a painful thing to go through! Now we are so at peace. Certified, trained and experienced caregivers make a huge difference when combined with an attentive and caring executive team! Mom and Dad constantly tell us how much they love it there. They are superbly fed. They have great relationships developing. They are living the best life for where they are in their life journey!
