What a great place to visit in order to find out what plants, flowers, shrubs, and herbs grow best in our part of the state! ( This year in particular...post big freeze...since we are replacing a lot of plants that did not fare so well in our yard)
These gardens are worth the drive. Stroll the perennial garden for Texas-tough plants that thrive in Collin County. If you're prepared to hike a bit, don't miss the shrubbery beds or the potager vegetable garden on the northwest corner of the property.
Great place to learn about what plants grow best in the DFW area. Loved the Lomato grapes.
These gardens are a butterfly haven in the fall, mostly Monarchs, with some Queens & others mixed in. I've been twice this October. A great place to photograph multitudes of butterflies & beautiful plants.
The entire grounds of the Myers Park & Event place is absolutely lovely with a small woods, more gardens on the opposite hill, a creek, picnic tables & gorgeous wildflowers in the Spring. The farm museum is a bonus, mostly open on Wednesdays & Saturdays.
Free and open to the public. This garden shows just how beautiful native annuals and perennials can be. The butterflies and humming birds are abundant here. The garden is maintained by the Collin County Master Gardener Association which frequently hosts educational events and garden tours. Nearby is also a shade garden, a pottager vegetable garden and a vineyard trial garden. Worth a visit on a pretty day.
