I absolutely love this dentistry. They are the most compassionate and helpful people you will ever come in to contact with and will give you the most genuine help. Dr Nelson and his team are the sweetest group of individuals and will never shame about dental health or anything of the sort. I was terrified of the dentist and they made it feel like a walk In the park. I got my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Roberts and it was the most beautifully done removal ever. I had 6 teeth extracted and no bruising or swelling the next day. He is a wizard in dental surgery. I would recommend him over any other surgeon. His results say it all because I’m on day 5 of my recovery and feel like I am back to normal. Overall they are worth every penny you spend and second with them. They are also the most affordable dentist I have been to!!! I also really would love to shout out Donna at the front desk she is an absolute angel and so helpful and compassionate. Dr Nelson was the second dentist I went to and he saved me from accidentally going into one of the worst treatment plans ever and was able to help me and see the real issue and save my mouth. He is so amazing at his job and he is now my forever dentist! He is very professional and compassionate.amazing team!!
I have been having on/off pain in my wisdom tooth, and had a routine exam. Dr. Nelson is a talker, but did answer the questions I managed to get in. He even recommend a good electrical toothbrush which I appreciated, and explained things with analogies sometimes which helped me understand some of my options. However, he was pretty insistent on me losing the tooth next to my wisdom tooth, despite of the X-Ray being unclear on that side. He couldn’t tell if the shadow on the tooth next to my wisdom tooth was decay or not, and said the surgeon would be able to see it clearly after extracting my wisdom tooth and make the call then and there while I’m asleep. He said it was up to me, but he strongly didn’t recommend I try to keep it, and to be “prepared to lose both.” He said a dental implant/crown combo would be my best option, despite the X-ray not being clear. I get he was advising me of the possibilities, but when I said I only wanted my wisdom tooth extracted, he kept discouraging me. I personally didn’t like that. I may get a second opinion. Also, they require you to keep your debit card on file. I don’t like that either. I’m afraid they could decide to resolve a balance based on what the insurance company says at any moment. But everyone was super nice otherwise and I thank them for their time.
1st time with Dr Nelson and his amazing team. Everyone was so nice. I'm not a fan of dental visits (huge understatement), but Dr Nelson and his team took their time, made me feel at ease. If you have some dental issues, they are very informative and helpful with a treatment plan. Great job.
My boys and I are all patients of Dr. Nelson. My boys are always ready to go in for a cleaning and so am I. The staff is so caring and explain every step involved with cleaning and x-rays so my children know exactly what to expect. I needed two implants and Dr. Nelson recommended a fantastic specialist and then Dr Nelson took care of my two new "teeth." Now I can really enjoy eating without pain!
The front office staff is also very willing to work with your schedule and make sure that we keep up with routine cleanings. My eldest son requested a letter describing his regular dental program for a Boy Scout merit badge and Nelson and Associates had it ready to pick up the same afternoon.
I recommend Nelson and Associates to everyone who asks for a fantastic dentist in the McKinney area.
Today was my first visit to Dr. Nelson, and I was dreading visiting a new dentist. The office staff made me feel welcome and Dr. Nelson was great. He gave my problem a good deal of thought which he discussed with me. He also discussed the cost aspect of the treatment which I appreciated. He nor his hygienist hinted any criticism to me because I had not had my teeth cleaned in two years. Dr. Nelson was straightforward with his recommendation and did not try to convince me I needed something I did not want. I am making an appointment for my husband next for a cleaning.
