The staff at Ivy of McKinney are so great and happy to help their residents as quickly as possible and as much as possible. They provide a happy, cozy environment for their residents and host multiple daily activities. With knowledgeable staff, it helps make the decision to move and it’s process easier. Not to mention the great food prepared by the kitchens staff! It’s very nice that their assisted living apartments come equipped with a full kitchenette + full-size W/D too. The apartments are well sized and offer a cozy vibe. I would highly recommend Ivy of McKinney to anyone searching for a happy and quality new home for a loved one.
Every experience I have had with The Ivy has been outstanding. Coleen Ryan is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and really makes the transition as smooth as possible. I highly recommend this facility and Coleen. The only place I would trust for my loved ones!
I would like to commend the staff at The Ivy of McKinney for the manner in which they handled a very difficult situation during the ice/storm weather that we experienced here in North Texas the week of February 16, 2021. Because of the extreme weather conditions in McKinney, Texas, The Ivy experienced some broken water pipes. Tough decisions had to be made about how best to care for the residents. The decision was made to move residents to a local church facility that had access to running water, if family members could not get to the facility to take residents to their homes. Luckily, I could get to The Ivy to get my mom to bring her to my house. While I was waiting inside the facility for staff members to gather Mom's medications, I was able to observe how residents were being organized to be transported to the church. McKinney fire personnel were present and moving residents by stretcher to the bus for transportation. Residents were treated with such kindness by all fire personnel and Ivy staff members. Everyone participating in the transporting handled residents with patience and tender care. The process was well organized and executed carefully. I was reminded again why I feel that The Ivy is a good fit for my mom and why my family chose this facility in the first place.
