McKinney's Hidden Treasure! My daughter has been attending Acton for two years now and she has grown leaps and bounds! Very independent and self sufficient for her age. I'm at a loss for words. I have two children who are attending Acton Academy McKinney and they absolutely LOVE IT. They wake up in the morning excited to go -- and by the end of the weekend, Monday can't come fast enough. The programme is amazing. The Guides are awesome and I feel like my kids have learned more in the short time they have been there than they did in an entire year of regular public school. Every day they are developing more comfort and confidence in themselves and their own abilities. Best of all they are learning that failure is not a bad thing but an opportunity for growth and learning.

My kids are too young to attend Acton, but I’ve encountered children who do and to say I’m impressed is an understatement. These kids who attend are very articulate and kind and intelligent and polite and well-spoken and more. They are eager to share with me what they’re learning and their excitement for it all is so evident in every conversation! This enthusiasm is incredible to me -I’ve never seen that among any other type of learning. Acton is doing something right!

Full disclosure: I am one of the owners. I opened this school with my partners because I wanted something different for my younger children than the traditional educational model could offer. Finding the Acton Academy model opened up a whole new perspective on education for me and my family. Once I learned about it, I knew this was what I wanted for my children and was ready to make it a reality. I am so excited to be at to share this experience with other families in the area.
