Lone Star Ballroom

We literally followed Ann Michelle from when she was located in north Dallas, to Uptown, and now to this McKinney location. My fiance and I have been taking lessons with her almost on a weekly basis for the last 3 years. She is the sweetest person and our dance lessons are always so much fun. We focus on the styles that I like (sorry but not sorry to my fiancé) which includes rumba, waltz, salsa, and bolero. We've had opportunities to train with the other teachers, Jackie and Bree, when Ann Michelle was out and they're both really great as well. Now that we're about to get married, I can't wait to have Ann Michelle choreograph our wedding dance! Right now, masks are required during lessons and they square off the studio to allow social distancing between different partners going through lessons. They don't pack the studio so we feel safe continuing with our lessons during this time.

I tried the LaBlast class for the first time this morning at the McKinney location - love it! LaBlast is a type of dance workout that also teaches the movements for various ballroom dance styles, so you're learning and practicing the basic techniques while having fun and getting in some cardio. Also a great way to socialize while still staying safe - everyone is required to wear masks, and gets their own personalized dancing space taped off on the floor. The studio also offers these classes at the Dallas location and online. Cheers!
