  James is the best, I have been going there for 12 years. He gives great cuts, great conversations, and gives back to the community every year during the holidays.

  Plano Barbers is a truly Texas establishment that even has a place for you to hang your hat. James has a heart and personality as big as the Lone Star State that kept us smiling (even my ninth grader) the whole time we were there. He is incredibly adept, and neatly tamed even my nine-year-old's notoriously difficult toehead in record time.
  
  The sign says walk-ins welcome, and they are, but that doesn't mean you won't have to wait a little while. If you call him to make an appointment, you likely won't have time to read the newspaper article written about the shop framed on the wall, so make time to read it on the way out.

  It is an old fashioned barbershop. The cuts are good, the price is rock bottom, and if you get there early enough there are complimentary doughnuts, an excellent combination. Don't go anywhere else.

  James is great. Good with my 5 year old and always asks me what I want for haircut...never assumes to know what I want done. Have been coming for almost a year and will be the barber my son has growing up. He's a Plano tradition!

  Just a note: even though the Google Maps says they open at 9:15am, the sign says they Open .... When we get here. ????
