I bought a Baldwin Model M grand piano from Kelin back around Summer 2020. Got what I consider to be a very fair price and a great deal on delivery/setup. After arrival and a couple of weeks for the piano to acclimate itself I had our tuner come out to go over it and he was thoroughly impressed with it. Felt it was worth every penny spent on it. My son has been playing/practicing on it daily and now my daughter has started lessons as well. Very happy with the deal we got from Kelin Violin Shop!
Kelin Violin Shop was a great place to purchase a violin. They have a large selection of violins, cellos, and other string instruments of varying price ranges. With private testing room, you are given a great opportunity to test the instruments to ensure you are getting the one that suits you best. Kelin Zhang, the owner, is not only a master craftsman but also skilled musician and is extremely helpful in matching you to the perfect instrument. Definitely recommend.
Kelin Violin Shop is the place to go if you are wanting to purchase or rent any string instruments. I am amazed how every instruments there are made from scratch. We have been renting violin from Mr. Kelin since last year. Every time we ask for a renewal or change in violin size, the process has been easy. I highly recommend this shop!
I was blown away by Kelin. The shop was beautiful with so many instruments all hand made from scratch by Kelin. He was extremely kind and helpful. He allowed me to try out 6 or 8 different bows and a violin to compare to my own. He spent a significant amount of time explaining the sound difference in my antique violin to his violins, showed me his special award-winning violin with a gorgeous antique-looking finish, and taught me many things about the violin I didn't know. I only started lessons less than 3 months ago. When I'm ready to upgrade one day, I will be definitely going back to his shop.
Awesome experience, the owner could have charged me hundreds of dollars to re string my daughters violin, but he recommended less expensive strings since she is only 11. Very impressed. And they had some really cool violins for WAY cheaper than my daughters school charged me for hers. Really cool looking in there. Will definitely go back there from now on, he even stayed open late just to take care of me.
