Great food in a nice restaurant. Had a couple of house martinis for just $5 on a Monday. Fish entrees were cooked correctly. Even snuck in a dessert this time.
My wife loves Bonnie Ruth, she was very sad that the one close to our house shut down a couple years ago. My in-laws got us a gift card for our anniversary last year, so they baby sat our daughter while we had a fun morning eating brunch. We got to this location, and it is very cozy and nice. The wait staff was extremely friendly and super attentive.
My wife loves the crepes whereas I like more of a hearty meal. Their burgers to do disappoint and I love that it comes on a brioche bun. Being Sunday, you know that we had to get our Mimosa on, they are decently price and are not 98% Orange Juice which is a very nice thing. The sad thing is that they didn’t have any cupcakes for us to take home.
I only have one complaint and they didn’t take our gift card. They said it was out of date (didn’t know they expired in less than a year). My father-in-law is a bit irritated about it, and we are trying to work with them about it, but nothing as of yet.
Other that that sour note, this is a nice place to come for a brunch with your significant other.
We used to go to Bonnie Ruth's in Watter's Creek all the time. For years I thought they'd just closed entirely when they had only just moved to Plano. The food was as good as ever . . . same personalized service and great atmosphere. Bestie and I split the date night package - bottle of house red/white wine or champagne, shared appetizer, two entrees, and shared dessert for $69! I was impressed with the number of options we had to choose from. I had the steak frittes (LOTS of food as it comes w/ salad - delicious house dressing) and she had the beef short ribs on a bed of mashed potatoes with whole carrots. We shared the cheese/fruit tray to start and ended with the biggest slice of Italian Creme Cake (THE BEST I'VE EVER TASTED). Seriously - try the cake. Fantastic!!
Bonnie Ruth’s has the most delicious food! We enjoyed the mussels, croquettes, and crapes- each just as fantastic as the last. Our server, Lindsay, was wonderful and we can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!
