SLAM Volleyball

Before joining SLAM, my daughter had no idea what position she wanted to play. We did a few practices with Coach Iris and she told us that she will take a player whom she thinks is coach-able. My daughter was offered a position on the 14u team last season. Coach Iris suggested that my daughter play as outside and boom my daughter found the exact position she enjoyed the most. She started as outside for the season and ended up playing all around for the team. My daughter wouldn't have been playing club volleyball if not for Coach Iris. We are thankful to SLAM and Coach Iris for the opportunity given to my daughter. Coach Iris goes above and beyond to train her team. We have been doing private lessons with most of the SLAM coaches (Coach Jill, Coach Violet, Coach Liv) and they all have been really helpful in improving my daughters volleyball skills. We are looking forward to playing another season for SLAM.

I have been playing at slam 3 years going on 4 last season (14’s). My experience was some thing I never imagined could happen with such amazingly wonderful coaching from both coach Iris and coach Morgan. Coach Iris pushes me and everyone she coaches to do and be our best. She makes sure that every player she coaches is and becomes the best player they can be. For me I came in and instantly Iris and Morgan told me that they both see the potential in me. I never could of imagine a coach would make it their top priority to creat a bond with every player they come across.They have and continue to find any way for her players to get more touches on a volleyball. I thank god everyday I get to play 15s with the best team and coaches agin(coach iris and Morgan).

3rd try...
My daughter played for Slam 15Teal after a full year off due to a season ending injury. While it was a challenging season my daughter improved all her skills enough to make a higher ranking 16 Purple team! Slam is a great club with great facility's at a fraction of the price of some other N. Texas clubs.
A special thanks to Coach Stephanie for your dedication and encouragement despite personal attacks on your coaching style and even character. The poor attitude of a few parents definitely affected their daughters performance on the court causing team dysfunction that Stephanie worked very hard to correct. Thank you again Coach Stephanie and Slam for never giving up on this team and giving it your all through the very last game!!!

I am proud to say that we have been part of the Slam Family, 2 season going to our 3rd season now 15s National Top Team with Coach Iris.

Our experience has been out of this world, I've never expected so much from our coach Iris her ethic, leadership, dedication, passion, kindness, love and time put into our team is unbelievable.

My daughter has Dyslexia and Adhd her 1st season I could see her slowly breaking down she was feeling overwhelmed and stressed during games i was a bit nervours starting a new season, I was worried about her mental health. The night before tryouts we prayed together for the new season and good coaches.

I knew the monent i met IRIS shewas the perfect fit for my daughter ! right from the start she worked with my daughter making her feel safe and comfortable and I saw the whole prosses happened it was the most amazing experience for me as a mother to see her coming out of her shelf and becoming fearce and confident young lady on and off the court.

Coach Iris has help my daughter become more confident and loud! Ha. how to help coach others take care of others in need while having panic attacks staying mentally prepared and not being afraid of opportunities . Iris has gotten the team into Sand Volleyball , Women's leagues tournaments Spike fest tournament even for my daughter co Ed adult sand tournaments that's why she's not afraid of anything coming her way 😉 ! All of her girls have so much respect for her they care about her and the type of relationship they have with one another is very special. I love the commitment form our Coach she is the best hands down always supports her girls coming to see them play at school and sharing on social media she is so proud of her girls and I can say the same thing about her I'm very proud of Iris you are the one of a kind ❤️

We have been lucky to play for SLAM for the past 3 years. My daughter joined with very little experience and received great support and coaching from the very beginning. Coach Stephanie was able to see the potential in my daughter and through hard work and clear direction she earned a spot on the top team. No season comes without challenges, but we took those as opportunities to grow and learn. Stephanie has helped my daughter see the benefits from working hard and loving the sport. We are grateful to be part of SLAM history, being the first team to qualify for Nationals! We are so proud of everything they accomplished and thankful for the direction and support from Coach Stephanie and Coach Jaiden!
