Rob is just fantastic at connecting with his students and works with them to really enjoy the music. My son had lost interest in playing drums and after training with Rob for just a few months has started to enjoy playing it again . Thank you Rob! You are awesome

Rob Tovar has been teaching my son drumset lessons off and on since 2012. His teaching style has helped him prepare for drumset audition videos for college of music applications. He supports learning from the best drum books and keeping on pace with each level mastered. I highly recommend him for middle school through college preparation. And did I mention that Rob is an amazing drummer himself? His students are learning from the best in Plano. He is patient and listens to the students' needs and then shows them the best way to learn. I highly recommend him to teach drumset.

If you’re looking for drum lessons, Rob’s lessons are the best you can get. I’ve gone to him for years for drum lessons and he has always been professional, fun, and just overall an amazing teacher. Rob himself is a super talented drummer who is very obviously dedicated to his craft and it’s a blast to work with him. 10/10

Rob is a perfect balance of so many traits you'd like to see in a teacher. He's an amazing drummer to start with, and it's a thrill watching him play. He's enthusiastic, but patient. He's focused, but also personable. I've seen adults taking lessons there and also young kids -- my daughter is 10. My daughter looks forward to her lessons every week and although she can be painfully shy, she has found it pretty easy to open up to Rob and find passion in the drums. I can't recommend him highly enough.

My son has been taking lessons with Rob for a couple of years and he really enjoys and looks forward to each and every lesson, he says Rob is "super cool and fun". Rob has helped my son make all-region and drumline, helped him with competitions, various assignments AND drumset. One summer, he attended a percussion camp that Rob held where the parents got to see the kids perform at the end of the camp and it was so wonderful to see how much fun they were having and how well he interacted with the kids. Highly, highly recommend!
