My husband and I needed a gluten and dairy-free cake for our wedding. After sampling several cakes with that same tell-tale faux cake taste, we found Sweets by Mariela. We picked up our box of samples (three different flavor combinations) and were delighted to see that she had not just packaged little bites of cake, but had prepared three beautiful mini-cakes. So cute! And the taste! Mariela's gluten and dairy-free cakes are absolutely heavenly tasting!

We met with her and gave her a general idea of the aesthetic vibe of our wedding (Texas wildflowers). She showed up exactly on time at the venue with a stunning two-layer cake with delicate, hand-painted wildflowers and tiny piped-on details that were even more beautiful than the real flowers at the wedding! The sheet cakes she made for the guests were every bit as lovely and delicious.

Mariela is great! The work that she does is outstanding. This is my second time getting a cake from her and each time it’s amazing. My kids love her cakes and cupcakes. I really love the vegan options. I will always go to her for as long as I live in Dallas.

5 days before my square themed birthday party I decided it was super important that I have a square cake! Google led me to a home bakery just one neighborhood over. Mariela wasn’t at all phased by the short notice. She created a lovely cake and even matched my colors. She worked with me on the pick up time. The whole process was stress free and the cake was gorgeous and delicious. Love knowing that I have a specialty bakery so close!

Mariela was amazing! She made the most beautiful cookies for a bridal shower I was hosting, was open to my ideas and suggestions for what I wanted, and worked within my tight schedule. She even made me some extra cookies! My guests loved them and gushed over how cute they were! The taste was amazing and the cookies were nice and soft. Her pricing was pretty average with other vendors in the industry, but if you want it done right — go to mariela!

Mariela made our son’s 1st birthday cake, smash cake, and cookies for his party. Everything was a huge hit and she did such a wonderful job matching everything to our theme, which was Oneder the Sea! The cake was vanilla with raspberry jam and the cookies were vanilla frosted - they were absolutely delicious! Mariela was also super responsive and very sweet in person when we picked up our items before the party. We will definitely be ordering from Mariela again!
