“I've attended several Life.Church locations over the years. Life.Church McKinney is no different - an amazing culture, great worship, superior pastoral staff, and down to earth people that attend and serve. Life.Church is the best place for you if you've ever found yourself skeptical or hesitant to 'try church'. This Church welcomes people of all walks of life and makes sure all know God's love and grace is sufficient even for the worst of sinners. This Church wholeheartedly believes in their mission to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ!”

“Real People, Real Community! McKinney is “unique by nature.” Community North Baptist Church is unique by design. We are both a typical and an atypical Baptist congregation. We are, in some ways, a paradox. The Bible is taught and preached—typical. We still call Sunday school, Sunday school. We are typical in that we have a fairly traditional worship service with familiar hymns, a choir, a sermon, a children’s sermon, wonderful piano offertories, prayers and Scripture readings. We have covered dish meals. Currently, we do not have a praise team or band or a contemporary service—atypical. We have words to choruses projected on a screen and we have hymnals. We gather at 11 a.m. on Sunday mornings to worship—typical, but no Sunday evening services; we are not a mega-church, nor are services online—atypical. We have Vacation Bible School, Wednesday activities for all ages, retreats and youth activities--typical. We have men deacons—typical—and we have women deacons—pretty atypical Baptist! What makes us unique is not only this paradox of typical and atypical, but also the confluence of freedom with the belief in ‘soul competency,’ that Christians are a ‘priesthood of believers.’ Members are all equals because the ground at the foot of the cross is level; we are sinners saved by the grace and mercy and power of God through the Lord Jesus Christ. We are all one in Christ, as Paul reminds us in his Letter to the Galatians. No one person is considered above another. This sense of Biblical equality forms the basis of our community. We encourage each member to share their grace gifts given by the Holy Spirit. Community North exists to love and serve God and all people, both inside and outside our walls. Our members exercise their gifts by actively participating in ministry whether local, national or international. We support Samaritan Inn, Hope’s Door women’s shelter, Community Food Pantry, various children’s homes, homeless shelters, and missions needs in Africa. Our Loving Hands ladies crochet hats for newborns and items for cancer patients. Our Toy Makers craft beautiful and functional toys for the children at Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas. We have members who support the Southern Baptist Convention as well as those who support the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. We have a democratic, congregational church government. Our deacons are a ministering body, tending to the flock alongside the pastor. We are not governed by a board or by a CEO Pastor. So, if you came through our doors on a typical Sunday morning, you would experience a warm greeting. You would not be judged; you would be welcomed and accepted. You would hear the Good News of the Bible, and you would be invited to join with us to love and serve God and all people. Above all, at Community North we love the Lord and we love each other, warts and all, and we extend grace to members and non-members alike. That’s what makes us Real Community.”

“My family and I first came to New City a little over a year ago. We intended to simply visit, due to us living in McKinney and the church being in Celina, but we unanimously decided we HAD to return. We were looking for a PCA church and loved the opportunities that came with this church being a church plant. We were able to plug into community quickly and find opportunities to serve. Pastor Jake is an incredible leader and preacher and we are so grateful to sit each week under his teaching. He goes through the Bible each week and delivers rich sermons that point us to Christ. As a family, it's truly the highlight of our week to gather together with our church family to worship, fellowship, serve, and learn.”

“I was so so blessed to be gifted at Christmas to come to this church for a beautiful candle light service. Tears kept coming down my face. I've been out of the church for 4 months living at the Samritan Inn in Mckinney. I felt so cut off from the body there. It was a super blessing to come and worship corporately. God inhabits the praises of His people. Loved the sermon about even in the darkness God is there...mentioning the psalms and Job. I was wowed at the opening little drummer boy on the kettle drums. I LOVE DRUMS!!!! (having worked for 15 years learning of the native nations). It's a heartbeat unto the Lord. I was also blessed by the reminder that even in darkness one little candle can warm one's face so gently and thoroughly. The darkness has not and will not overcome God's people. Amen and shalom!”

“Yet another example of why I go to Discount Tire. They cheerfully greeted me as I walking in the door. Informed me they would get me checked in next. The tire in question was a warranty issue and they handled it without any hassle. I was charged just the road hazard fee on the replacement tire and that was it. This was on a Saturday when they were very busy. I was informed it would be approx 2 hour wait, which I was prepared for. After about an hour and 45 minutes they were completed with the tire replacement and rotation. Every tire I have bought since I moved to Texas is from Discount Tire. They have earned a customer for life. They continue to give me quality service even if it's a free repair.”
