Horseshoe Riverside Lodge

My wife and I enjoyed a weekend getaway there and had a great stay. We enjoyed hanging out on the back patio and wading in the river. In the evening we took a short walk to a local venue for a Willie Nelson concert. The next day I was up early fly fishing and caught a monster trout. Only downside was the weekend wasn't long enough. We will be back!

I gave it a 5-star review, but it is not a five star hotel. Nice, simple, friendly, and clean sums it up. When we went, it was mostly renovated and definitely above the standard for the area. In the future, if we are in the area and need lodging, this will be the first place I check for vacancy.

The guy at the counter was very nice and available for any questions we had. Beds and room were clean. The hotel really is right on the river, they kept the patio and grass area clean and cut it was great place to stay! There was also a little playground area so that was a cool bonus. Would definitely visit again.

Stayed there one night on 4/17. Place was updated and very nice. Great location for tubing or relaxing on the river. Had a couple of issues and would have received a lower rating but owners are very responsive and made things right which is admirable and fair. I would stay here again directly because of them…..I know they’re trying to make this place great….and I can appreciate that.

Found this charming place on Google maps. Just got back from a wonderful weekend in the hill country. When we arrived, both the owner and the manager Diana were on site. Both were very pleasant and helpful as we were there to look around at real estate. The owner purchased this place about a year ago and it has undergone extensive remodeling, so everything is fresh and clean. The location right on the Guadalupe river is excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable, most especially the beds. We slept great! Good location near some good food and only about 2 miles from the Canyon Lake dam. I will definitely stay here again.
