Devil's Backbone Tavern

Just went I thought "Honkey Tonks" in Texas was a thin of the past & .....shassam looky what I found ! Good job everybody .

Bring cash or there's an ATM. The building itself was built in the 1930's, there are relics from the 60's and 70's still in use. It definitely feels like you went back in time. Cold beer, awesome music and a friendly crowd.

While checking out some backroads in Texas, we came upon this cool tavern and decided to stop and have a cold beer or two.
Very cool and authentic bar- obviously where a lot of locals hang out (since everybody knew everybody). This place isn’t trying to be anything more than what it is- a dive bar. We went in mid afternoon, so it wasn’t crowded or loud.

Stars are subjective..what I think is super, you may not like. This is a laid-back place with a great jukebox and really cold beer. Of course, nice people.

A quiet little out of the way place. Cold beer. Good mix drinks.
