Took my own tubes, two vehicles, and we had three in our group. Total for everything was 80 bucks which is pretty pricey for parking and a shuttle ride to the drop off. Also, two guys aired up our tubes when we arrived at the drop of area. They got us in and out in no time, very efficient.
You exit the water about 3-400 yards downhill from the parking area. You have to haul all your gear back up the hill which isn’t ideal but you really can’t squeeze a shuttle ride in.
We were in the water for 2.5-3 hours. The Guadalupe River was clean and refreshingly cold.

Great place to see the bands you love. I remember Whitewater sports used to be a campground and it was where u could go and get loud and pretty much pitch a tent anywhere u wanted and party all night but now it's been transformed into this beautiful piece of property where you can go see big names in music and still get loud and party but in a more controlled clean and great outdoors music venue..it has really grown into a place to make memories and have some great times..good service and good music ..thanks to all staff at whitewater amphitheater! Pics from my latest visit to see Asking Alexandria...

A little more expensive than some other outfitters I've used in the past but their service is great. $24/pp will get you a high quality tube with bottom and a cup holder, a trash bag if you want it, parking included (ample parking on a Thursday in July at 1pm), and a shuttle to the drop off point from where you float back to the original location. They don't take reservations at this time but we didn't have a wait (other than a few mins for the shuttle to return) on a Thursday afternoon. Beware that the last time they'll send people out on the river is 2 or 2:30pm. They rent and/or sell everything you may need so if you forgot something don't worry about it.

The float is beautiful and for the most part peaceful. Not too crowded on a weekday and even if you bump into people by accident they tend to be friendly. They were only doing the Horseshoe portion (~2 hours) which they state both on the website and when you check out so we were fine with it. The water is cold but the sun hot so be prepared with hydration, sun screen, and protective clothing including secure footwear in case you need to walk. You'll see some beautiful properties, landscapes and cliffs, and wildlife like birds and turtles. When we were there the flow wasn't too fast though there were some light rapids which made the trip more fun and interesting. There is clear signage for your exit and a staff member waiting nearby so you can't miss it. Restrooms were spacious and plentiful so there's room to change if needed when you're done.

Floated the horseshoe - water levels were low since the aren’t letting the water out of Canyon Lake but it was still fun! The water is still cold this time of year so plan accordingly. Also if you go to the Whitewater homepage (whitewaterrocks.com) there is a coupon that helps bring the price down. You can float the horseshoe as many times you want for the day. One downside is there is no discount for using your own tubes, however, parking is free. Lastly the river exit has a nice area to chill and picnic after your float. It was nice to sit back and people watch.

I accidentally added my original review underneath Whitewater Condos. Sorry about that. Anywho, totally enjoyed my day floating. The water was nice and cold. Seen lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery. It was a few low spots where u did have to walk but it wasn't bad. Definitely wear water shoes and bring a hat. Will definitely do again. Thank you Whitewater Sports for a new experience!
