Tipis on the Guadalupe

This is a favorite getaway for my family. We spend the most time at the river and surrounding the fire pit. We have all the creature comforts to keep everyone happy and lots of physical activities- tether ball and the ping pong table are the favs- to keep kids off devices. It is good family fun and every time we leave the kids as when we are coming back. This is a must!

Wow, an amazing find! Stayed at the LaPluma Retreat (think luxury treehouse) & it was one of my best stays ever! Great location with river access. Gorgeous outside deck & super comfortable king-sized bed. Cute furnishings & enough kitchen gadgets to get you through a long weekend should you choose to cook & eat in. Will be back to visit this little slice of heaven! Thank you, Tipis on the Guadalupe!

There is something absolutely magical about this place! It’s so perfect for families with children. The naturally occurring shelf in the river is shallow enough so parents don’t have to worry about their kiddos as they explore the area with fish nets or flashlights. We loved the addition of tetherball, corn hole, and the cool ping pong table! This was my third time there, and great memories were made as usual!

This was my second visit to the Tipis in as many years. You can tell the owners are making a lot of effort to keep the property updated - all the units have fresh coats of paint, the linens were fresh, the trees have been trimmed up, and the walk to the river is level and clean. The housekeepers were so pleasant and friendly, willing to help out when I had a question. Also, when I called the office to order firewood they were promptly delivered by Billy. The other guests at the other Tipis were having a great time and the vibe was just so chill out there. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to just get away from reality for a couple days.
