Stayed here over father's day weekend. It's a nice shady area on the river with helpful staff. Restrooms stayed pretty clean even with having quite a few people staying there. Just the site and services I have 0 complaints. Had some vehicle issues as we were leaving and the owner and staff were nothing but helpful and understanding. Never felt rushed to get out. I would come back here without question. Good people and a good place to stay.
I went to this Church with my elders people
I just recently began attending services here with the young single adult group. They are amazing and such a fun, outgoing group of wonderful people! Many are students at UC Davis, but some come from areas outside of Davis as well and join in the friendship as we worship God together.
We rented the captain's quarters cabin for the weekend, and had a blast! Absolutely loved the greenery surrounding the cabin. The cabin itself was clean, and cooled down fairly quickly with the two ac units. I recommend bringing a small fan to help circulate the cooled air out to the main room, as the ac units are only in the bedrooms. We chose not to float due to covid concerns, but the river is a short walk from the cabin and had plenty of gorgeous spots for us to just sit in the water and hangout. We had a great time, and plan to book again next year. The amount of negative reviews concerned me at first, but it seems if you just follow the rules and respect the property, you'll be just fine.
I have camped at least 4 times at this place and I love it. The owners Brooke and Allan are very friendly and polite, they make you feel right at home. I love this place because not only do we camp they also provided the tubes and transportation. You pick how many hours you want to float and they will drop you right off to the spot and you will just float until you reach Billy Goat’s Gruff. The staff and owner will help you out of the water and grab your float. The younger staff that comes to open up and drive you are very friendly and more than helpful. Then after you float you can take a hot shower in one of two showers. There’s one physical restroom (with a toilet and sink) and two port a potties which have been pretty clean filled with tissue and sanitizer. The physical restroom ran out of toilet paper but there was almost 80 or so of us there ( very understandable). Me and my family range from ages 1yr- to 39 and we ALL had fun even the other campers where friendly. We will be visiting again!!!!!
Everyone needs a spiritual path
Warm and friendly
I have attended church services here on several occasions and I found the people to be very friendly very helpful and they have a very unselfish desire to share the gospel. They also do a lot of family history work and are willing to help you discover your family history and your past relatives.
