  I love Walgreens for it’s choices of make up as well as hair products and skin products. The prices are either a little high or average spot on to most other retailers.

  This is not about the pharmacy. The store was nice and the tv screens on on the coolers was neat. I've never seen those before. The store was clean and we'll stocked. I found all that I was looking for. Here's my problem. The young girl behind the register was very sweet however, when I asked for cigarettes she said she would need my ID. I understand that Walgreens got caught selling cigarettes to minors and implemented the policy company wide. My car was parked next door and I didn't feel like walking back to get my ID. I asked her to just put in my birthdate like they have done in many Walgreens I have gone to. She said she wasn't allowed and would have to get a manager. I said fine call the manager. When he didn't appear right away I told her to wait on the people behind me. When he finally showed up she explained the situation and he took me to another register, put in my birthday and we completed the transaction. I understand that she was probably told NO EXCEPTIONS. They need give these poor clerks some discretionary powers. The reason for the rule is to ensure that they don't sell cigarettes to minors. I'm 66 years old and look 76. She should have been allowed to make the call by herself and enter my birthday. Everything else about the store was fine I recommend it. If you're going for cigarettes bring your ID.
