I would like to personally thank Officer Patrick who assisted me with his own funds when my credit card was suspended due to potential fraudulent activity. He made sure I got enough gas to get me home safely at midnight. I will be repaying this money but wanted to make sure I said thank you officer Patrick. Your very generous and I truly appreciate it. Well I'd say 95% of the time I've had good experiences with the local law enforcement folks. I just wish I didn't have to be a squeaky wheel to get something done about entitled parents driving through the parking lot of the Chalmers school the wrong way every day. I almost had a head on collision with one of those entitled parents. So I called the non emergency number and was told to talk to the resources officer at the school. So I did and he said he can't do anything about it because his jurisdiction is the parking lot and he has to stay inside the building. So it's called pass the buck. Right 👍❤️

Gainesville Police department has a wonderful set up in their lobby area! They have tables where you can sit down and have meetings..
I feel very safe here. They have two parking spaces where one can do custody exchanges or conduct other business transactions! The staff is friendly!
