John East, DO

Dr. East, Sylvia and Alaina at Addison Pain Management are amazing. I have been seeing Addison Pain Management for several years. They have helped me avoid knee replacement surgery. I have had my knee injection and also had a procedure performed called PRP on my knee. It was life changing. My orthopedic doctor was worried about replacing my knee at my age because he said I was too young. He stated that a knee could only be replaced twice. He said because you are active you will wear the knee in 5 to 7 years. Dr. East also treats a pinched nerve in my neck with injections. If you are dealing with chronic pain I highly recommend Dr. East and staff. I lost my husband a few years ago. He was also a patient of Dr. East. He suffered from chronic back pain. Dr. East and Alaina helped him greatly. Alaina showed me so much care and compassion during this my husband’s illness and death. Sylvia is amazing too. She has worked me in a few times without hesitation when I had a new injury or new pain. You will not find more helpful, caring and compassionate doctors.

I have seen Dr. East and team for just over two years. I had tremendous pain in my neck which had been getting worse and affecting my day to day. With injections, it was amazing the relief that I had and had forgotten what pain-free even felt like. He and the team were easy to talk with and really listen to you. I have since received injections for my lower back and my hips/ITBands.

I only wish I had found him (and Sylvia) much earlier to get relief!

Best pain management doc EVER! I cannot even go into all of my history with my neck because that would be a novel BUT just a little back story. I got into a head on collision in 2019 which destroyed 2 of my cervical discs, had C6-7 discectomy/fusion surgery 2020 after two ESI injections (Epidural Steroid Injections) at another pain management dr. Then, my C5-6 disc started causing pain/weakness/numbness down my right arm in early 2021. At that point, I decided to see a pain management dr in my building at work (for convenience) whom he did an additional 2 ESI injections. They helped me A LOTTTTT with my pain for about 1 1/2 years. But then again my neck started giving me pain approx 2 months ago, similar to the right arm pain I've had in the past. My convenient pain dr could not get me in for 2 months ya'll. And when you're in pain, 2 months is an eternity. Also, I can't manage my pain with pain meds, narcs, etc because they all make me sick, including Ibuprofen, so ESI is my only hope and surgery AGAIN is out of the question. I was so helpless feeling that I started doing my research on the best pain docs in Dallas, and low and behold, Dr. East popped up. I contacted them and they urgently called me back to schedule a new patient appointment, after submitting all of my new patients forms. They got me in THE NEXT WEEK!!! Then they moved me up even earlier, ordered a new MRI and BOOM I was getting my ESI, I so desperately needed, the following week. Today I am writing this less than 24 hours post op after my steroid injection. The entire staff at Addison Pain, of course Dr. East included, made this process seamless, understood my urgency, and was the most thorough out patient hospital injection experience EVER!!! I feel like a new woman writing this! It's 24 hours later and my pain is almost 100% alleviated! Thank you again and again and again, Dr. East!!! Your expertise, talent, thorough and caring approach exceeds all other prior experiences. A true blessing you are to this world!

Dr. East and Sylvia are beyond great. They take the time and listen to your issue and have a game plan. I have had headaches since late 90s along w/ neck pain and for once in my life I can say they are getting better!
