My first visit to Dr. G. was on 12 October 2015. I went to see him after a botched-up plastic surgery that resulted in me having a permanent severe dry eye condition, with very poor eyesight which prevented me from driving and reading. After six-days of appointments in Texas, I returned home to Maryland very satisfied and happy wearing a pair of individually designed and fitted scleral lenses that remarkably improved my vision. Now, after two-and-a-half-years of wearing them daily, and fully functioning, including driving and reading, I decided to pay a visit to Dr. G. for a checkup and to see if there could be any additional improvement, even though I was perfectly happy with his original pair. This time I came with my husband who is knowledgeable about optical lenses, and Dr. G. took the extra time to discuss his technical design with him, and he was very forthcoming with information. Dr. G. spent a lot of time examining my eyes and discussing with me and my husband my condition. He concluded that he could improve the performance of both eyes by making minor corrections to each lens. During each appointment, Dr. G. made us feel comfortable by spending his time explaining everything he was doing, and although he described his adjustments as being minor, they had a major effect on me of further improving my vision. We are so impressed with the knowledge this doctor has and the attention and care he gives each patient. I highly recommend Dr. G. as a scleral lens specialist.
I am very satisfied with the results of these new lenses which are so comfortable that I frequently forget I am wearing them.
I must add that his staff Ashley and Aniska are the most caring, capable, talented, and helpful assistants.

Amazing doctor, saved my life.

I stopped by on a Friday afternoon to get my father in law's glasses fixed. I walked up to the door and read that at the current time of 4:15, they were still open. However, when I tried to open the door, it was locked; I hadn't noticed the newer business hours sign posted above where I had originally read. Sure enough, they really were closed. The woman at the front, who undoubtedly was about to leave, noticed my kids and me at the door and unlocked it. I explained the situation, and she very kindly replaced the nose pieces free of charge. I needed a special scleral lens made for my severe dry eye. I did lots of research, talked to a number of sources, and visited multiple providers. In the end Dr. Gemoules at Coppell Family Eyecare became the clear first choice. I knew he was skilled just from all the positive stories I could find on may different websites and various forums. He answered all my questions (had to be hundreds of them by the time I finished!) via email the same day I asked them. He was detailed, honest, and very knowledgeable. He really listened to me, before, during, and after. I never felt rushed, or like a number. He has a system in place that made it easy for me to fly down to a very nice town in Texas, get a perfectly fit device, and fly back in one week. He used his special technology alongside close proximity to his custom lens provider to streamline the fitting process and to get a lens that fit perfectly without the aches and pains of a long trial and error process. I don't understand why everyone doesn't do it this way. And his prices are unparalleled. I got a custom fitted, high quality lens with a trip to Texas and a wonderful discounted hotel stay (can you say whirlpool in your room?!!) for the same price that it would have cost me for just a lens with the other providers. My only regret is all the time and money I wasted before coming here - thousands of dollars on surgeries, bandages, glasses, drops, plugs, etc etc etc. If you have a special problem like I do, or are an unusual case that other eye doctors haven't been able to help, or feel like your current scleral lenses aren't completely comfortable, I highly recommend you send him and email and see what he has to offer.
