I love this place, nice and quiet park just outside of Dallas. The fish are abundant but you have to be using the right stuff. Carp, gar, cats, bass, and sunnies just to name a few. Couple spots that have shade on all sides as well as a nice walk path around the pond. Have seen some snakes lurking but it's a park in TX. If you walk through woods just wear a snake guard or use a walking/poking stick. Check it out highly recommend.
Great place for fishing! Photoshoot, cooking out and just watching the sun set! Oh yes let's not forget to feed the duck, they are really friendly or really hungry.
People need to respect this park a little more... I go here all the time. And the day after Easter, there was trash every where even in the water! This park is awesome people just need to pick up after themselves
Nice area for the family. Its about a 2 mile trail that starts at the pond on highway 20 and downy ferry rd. The pond is a nice size. good for family picnics, BBQ, and fishing. You could walk or jog around the pond or down the horse trail. The horse trail is quite and peaceful. Its located beside the pond and travels behind Lincoln memorial cemetery and ends on longbranch next to a trinity river embankment. If you love nature walks ,riding horses, fishing, family time, or nature period this is the trail for you.
Tiny lake, cool little grills, a small "pier", concreted walk, some people fish, don't know if there are any.
It's a small park near the highway.
Sad to see they removed a tree stump my son and niece enjoyed playing on.
It needs a couple of more large grills at the other end.
