“My mom fell about a week ago, she's 82 and I couldn't get her off the floor, so I called 9-1-1 and fire brigade #56 showed up at our house around 11 PM. I told them over the phone what had happened. They showed up about 10 minutes after I called them. Four big fireman got out of the blood, red fire truck and I lead them to the back bedroom where mom had fallen and couldn't get up, so they gently picked her up off the floor and put her in the bed. I was grateful and appreciated their help. The fire department is truly here to protect and to serve the citizens of Dallas. They didn't say, "hey sir, do have fire brigade insurance?" How are you going to pay us?? They serve and they see some gruesome things, but they are true public servants. Think where we would be without them. Thanks for the help. For all you see that is disturbing, you are appreciated by the public and it does make a difference.”

“This is a beautiful library. I do hope they will fix the windows from the storm back in June. I appreciate the design and architecture of the building. You will have to check for yourself, but it’s some sort of “green” design. I’m not sure if the details. It’s nice to have newer libraries here in Dallas. The librarians all seem very friendly and willing to help locate a book. The pictures I attached show a modern art piece made of wood. It’s really spectacular.”
