I fell 30ft working construction, and i thought my life was over. However, i stayed positive and even through the severe pain, i never gave up. I was very weak and deconditioned so i was happy to be sent to PRIDE because i wanted to get better. Most people don't want to get better, so they don't bother trying and they don't fight through the pain. Some people actually believe that if they continue to hurt and show no improvement, that they will get more money from the insurance. I witnessed this first hand as a patient at PRID. The most popular question at pride was how much will my impairment benefits be? I guess most people would rather live in constant "pain" to get more money, than actually try to recover and get back to work. The entire staff is there to help you in any way shape or form so that you can get better. They do not promise you that the pain will go away entirely or that you will be like you were before the accident. They do tell you that if you follow their advise and do the exercises and stretches and keep a positive mind, you will learn to manage the pain. I'd like to give thanks to everyone at PRIDE for helping me feel better and improving my everyday life..
