Id highly suggest this school; Even though i've only been here for 2 years I still feel like i've been here forever. Everyone is relatively nice there is a bunch of drama in middle school the school is bad that's just disd food for you. Id suggest 11/10

Dealey is a great school. There are a lot of new kids when you enter into the International Academy (me being one of them) and they’re all interesting and different. I have friends that went to Catholic school, friends that came from the wacky side of public school, a huge racial diversity, and a variety of different opinions. (At least in debate class, Ms. Smith is amazing by the way, she’s the debate and 8th grade reading teacher). Everyone manages to get along most of the time, minus the usual crush drama that goes on at every school. I’ve made some great friends (we’re all fanboys and fangirls). The block schedule isn’t great on Monday, it’s draining. The rest of the time it works out okay though. The teachers are scary sometimes. I’m not gonna lie. But for the most part they’re just darlings (shout out to any of the sevies that get that). English’s fun because of the freedom Mrs. Wood gives you. Texas Studies is much more interesting than you’d think, I don’t know how Ms. Rainey does it. If you take Spanish, just behave. Okay? And if she says “get familiar with the grammar” it means “MEMORIZE.” Señora Tindle can be intimidating at certain points, but she’s actually a really interesting person. Debate’s just perfect because of the way you can express yourself (please adopt me, Ms. Smith). Theater rocks once you get used to it, Mrs. Garret is the best of the best. Coach Connaughton is super. Just be prepared to work a lot, but don’t worry too much about your gym grade, as long as you DO YOUR BEST you’ll be okay. She can tell if you aren’t doing your best by the way. Ms. Malooly gives you candy and teaches you in a way that you can understand, so.... don’t make her angry, she doesn’t deserve it, also, make sure you get candy. Ms. Hall is so great (she went viral, that’s how cool she is). I love her, and I’m not being sarcastic. She can be strict but in the end it works out for you and all she wants is to teach you. That doesn’t mean disregard her rules though, it just means she’s not a bad teacher. You only get 20 minutes for lunch and 10 for recess, but it’s really fun. At the beginning of each six weeks they give you a hall pass with circles to punch for every time you go into the hall during class. There are only ten punches, so go to the restroom during lunch. That’s all I can say. Dealey may not be one of the schools you hear about all the time, but it’s a school that teaches you about more than just what the government forces you to learn. Peace out, dragons.

I loved when my son attended this school!! The faculty and staff were always nice and involved with the students. They have many programs and clubs for the students and the parents. My son was in chess and it was his favorite. I can go on and on about this extraordinary school. One of the very best in Dallas!
