Texas Star Cleaners

I have been coming here since 2011. She has great service, consistent quality, and reasonable prices. So many dry cleaners today don’t actually make the effort to get stains out. Often you get the little tag that says they tried, even though it sure doesn’t look like it. Well she really puts a lot of effort into getting those tough stains out, and not even for an extra charge. I recently moved 20+ minutes away and I still take my suits and shirts here.

Came here for some alterations.
The owner is a very nice asian woman with a somewhat heavy accent. But she's definitely fun to talk to. Make sure you clarify what you want to have done, in case she misinterprets.

I had some business casual shirts that I stopped wearing because they looked too wide on me. I brought them here and got my measurements done for all the shirts.
Now they all fit me perfectly!

I've been a loyal customer of theirs for a year now. I first came in for dry-cleaning because they were not as expensive as Comet, but upon entering the store I noticed that Angela, the owner, had tables of alteration tools and equipment. In the last year she has tailored several pants, jackets, and my wife's skirts. Don't underestimate her, she has a great sense of style, especially if you have a sample of what you want your tailored clothing to look like. Yes her English isn't perfect, but she is very kind and works quickly.

This place is a hidden gem in the downtown/uptown area.
