“Power outages everywhere. Woke up freezing & hungry. Called & Tom Thumb was open! First time here & the place was buzzing with people. Starbucks, hot deli, nice wine selection but several shelves were bare. Sadly my neighborhood were only blocks over & my grocery stores had no power and people were standing outside in line!! It was 20 degrees!! I feel saddened for those freezing in their homes & hungry & had no means to get to Tom Thumb. My neighborhood 75215 is considered a Food Desert less than a mile away! Tom Thumb staff was fast, friendly & the atmosphere was inviting. Shame no one - grocery chains, mayor or City Council care enough about the people in 75215 or 75210.”
