The Preston of the Park Cities

I moved my Dad from a top notch senior living home in Houston, and this one is by far better. The staff is friendly, helpful, engaging, and strives to relate to each resident.
The atmosphere is warm, charming, clean, and magical. The food is like a five star restaurant! Really. Come check it out.

My Mother was one of the 1st residents to move into The Preston of the Park Cities when it first opened a few years ago. We have gotten to know the staff and they feel like extended members of our family. They take fantastic care of my Mom and are always accessible if we have questions. During COVID it has been extraordinarily stressful for both the residents and staff. They have treated all residents with love and compassion and I feel confident that she is safe. From all medical needs, special celebrations for birthdays/milestones and personalized meal requests to assisting my Mom with errands, the staff is incredible. A big thank you to their Executive Director -Ke'o Velasquez; Executive Chef - Jonathan 'Rivera; Concierge Manager - Ethan Kraus; Concierge -Annette Alvarez; Director of Engineering- Christopher Summers,; Director of Community Life - Debbie Dickerson, and the entire team of Caretakers, Nurses and Servers. Even during the disastrous snowstorm this week, with hazardous driving conditions, Ke'o drove to the staff's homes beginning at 5:00am and drove them to work. He continued to pick up and drop off his dedicated staff until 11:00pm all week to make sure both the residents and staff were well taken care of. That is just one example of their commitment to the residents safety and excellent care. You will have peace knowing that your loved ones are taken care of at The Preston of the Park Cities.

My husband of 33 years moved into The Preston of Park Cities in October of this year. The property is beautiful, well decorated and eye catching. The staff is engaging and cares about their residents. My husband enjoys the food and activities and has finally settled into his new environment. He tells everyone he lives in a resort and it is easy to see why. I could not ask for a more engaging staff while still trying to maintain personal dignity.

On behalf of my brothers and I, I wanted to take a moment and thank the caregivers at The Preston. Our mother lived in Kansas and after our father passed, it was important to move Mom to Dallas, Houston or Denver. We settled on Dallas and given that I live in Dallas, I began touring and interviewing communities. Once I shortlisted the choice to (3), I had my brother and sister in law make the trip to Dallas for final interviews.
The Preston was our hands down selection and we have never regretted our decision. The transition for our mother was initially challenging but with the help of the lovely staff at The Preston, our mother is flourishing. Thanks especially to our representative, Allison Carr and Molly Meyers(activity director), the concierge staff and the terrific chefs and wait staff in the outstanding dining room!
