“Dr Portteus is the best in his field! He does have a Yale education and was the former child psych director at Texas Children’s. He does not accept insurance, so it is costly, but WORTH it! We’ve been through a slew of psychiatrists, and although they may be cheaper- you can’t put a price or mental/emotional stability. Myself and two of my children have been seeing him for 5 years, and have complicated diagnoses. He has changed our lives and I would never see another psychiatrist besides him. He is brilliant, kind, patient, and actually respects parents who “do their research”, and values YOUR input and feedback. We are so thankful for him and I’m not sure we’d “be ok” without him.
