“This is my neighborhood park. It has a nice playground which caters mostly to smaller children. There's a skate park with several ramps and obstacles for doing tricks. The paved walking path circles the park which makes it great for getting your daily walk in. There's some parking but it's primarily made for residents within walking distance. They also have a field for soccer with goals as well as a baseball field and tennis court. If anything I would add a basketball court and possibly more trees and seating.”

“I played here with my team Real Madrid club. It’s an amazing place but the fields are not good. I understand because the maintenance costs too much. The place is not that well funded, on the weekends, it costs $3 to play. (Referee fee) There needs to be bleachers on the side of field for the fans to sit and trash cans need to be in the sides of the field as well. It will improve a lot.”

“This is the kind of quiet low-key park for kids who plan on meeting up with other kids from their third grade class. The equipment is up to date and as safe as playground gear can get. Well-manicured lawns, gently curving sidewalks and Pollyanna-style shade trees make this the perfect after-school-getaway for kids, parents and babysitters!”

“Took my dog for a quick walk. Park is next door to an elementary school, has a playground, basketball and tennis courts, covered picnic area with a grill. Also next to a small rec center (?). Has a very nice, well kept walking park and an adult community center. Located in a residential area, this park is convenient for all age groups.”

“White Rock Lake, Dallas Texas inner city park. A known gem. Quick retreat from surrounding city life. Big Thicket area is treed, thus shaded and just beautiful at sunset.”

“Great place for a picnic or just to sit and relax and enjoy the outdoors. Long grassy area alongside the lake area with trees and a few benches. No playground or bathroom area, so not the most family friendly unless living in short walking distance. One end of the lake has a cool black hole thing. Park is also close to Turtle Creek trail and a few blocks from Katy Trail so it’s a good place to start on a walk or run.”

“Overall: An enjoyable experience Wide open space for the doggies to run. Best part is the more than a century old graveyard in the back and the historical singing pipes featured about midway on the trail. There aren't usually lots of people here so the vibe is relaxed. There is a small park for kids in the back but really, it's more about the historical reflection... Take a walk through the past at Opportunity Park!”

“This is one of the most beautiful little parks in Dallas. Heavily shaded, plenty of benches, impeccably kept, soccer field, tennis courts and a water feature. The children's playscape has padded flooring as opposed to wood chips. Owners seem to mostly pick up after their pets and there are plenty of poop bag stations always kept in stock. Wonderful park to take your kids or furry children.”

“What a treasure. Wide walking trails. Several playgrounds. Drinking fountains. Parking lots. Easy to maneuver a double stroller too. Welcoming to people of all sizes, colors and shapes. A terrific park. Well done City of Dallas. Working bathrooms or clean port a potties would have earned five stars but neither of those were found. The playground had age appropriate climbing structures- for whatever age child you have. And it was convenient to have a toddler playground right next to the bigger playground so it was easy to have multiple children in one area and I could see them all. The park is mostly level and there is a stone pavilion in the park which is so beautiful. I am so glad I visited and will definitely return. .”

“Just had an amazing 3 night stay here with my family of 4. It was clean, quiet, and pretty close to everything we wanted to do on the Dallas. Check in and out was super easy, the camp ground was gated and secure. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a spot to camp in Dallas.”

“great park to walk our dog but I wish they had a small dog park vs. a kids park that's NEVER utilized bc we don't have many kids in this neighborhood...more pets than people..”

“Received an in-home aasessment of a project I had in mind. Don was very upfront with me about its limitations and what was feasible. He gave me great suggestions and alternatives. No project scheduled as of yet but the passion he has for his craft and professionalism was refreshing.”

“Fun park. Have been bringing my kids here for years. Walking distance from our home..we do our easter egg hunts here in the spring and have lunch at the picnic tables. Parking sucks though and the high school kids getting high”

“Nice looking park. Half court basketball with 2 goals, plenty of open space great for pet owners, typical playground fare (i.e slides, etc) are enclosed by fence so the kiddos don't stray too far/get hit by stray ball. All around a great vibes. 10 out of 10, would go again.”

“Parking options on both ends of park with courts for different ball games and a playground. No restrooms tho, which was a disappointment today when I stopped by park on a long walk hoping to find restroom.”
