  Brookdale welcomed the Farmers Branch chamber for the 1st Friday Lunch today. The renovations are lovely. It makes each apartment door look more like a front door to a home rather than an apartment. Homey, brightly lit(not harsh) and inviting. Smelling fresh and clean like a new home. The interior courtyard is beautifully landscaped and quiet with lots of places to sit in the shade. You'd never know you were in the middle of town.
  Thank you for a wonderful location and yummy lunch. Thank you Chef!! We will be looking here in a few years when my folks are in need.

  The staff at this facility are great. They know each resident. It is amazing how they keep it all straight. They know what is going on with each resident and their health. They are great at communicating with family members. There are only a handful of Doctors that come to these facilities to see patients, which is great for the family members. It is very convenient to have a doctor that comes to the patient. Dr. Hirjee is one that works very closely with this facility and is very concerned about each patient. It is clear her priority is the health of the patient's that select her as their doctor. Keep up the good work everyone

  Dr Hirjee is an amazing doctor . Very wrong for some disgruntled patient to make inaccurate accusations! She is a true professional and is well respected in the community. The post about the Frisco issue is nothing to do with her practice. Check your facts before you post nasty things about a great doctor. And Brookdale Farmers Branch is an awesome caring facility!!!! Extremely professional and a very kind and compassionate staff!

  Preston and Billy really care about their residents. I currently work at a skilled nursing rehab community and they are one of the few teams that come in person to visit with their residents that have to come to Signature Pointe for rehab from the hospital. Rehab can be a lonely place for a senior with no family locally and the team at Farmers Branch go out of their way to make sure this is not the case for their residents. The community is small but very warm and friendly and the management team goes out of their way to make you feel like part of the family. Keep up the good work the world need more communities like yours.

  I moved my Mom to Brookdale-Farmer's Branch in April of 2017. She relocated from a small town in Missouri. The community made her feel welcome, were kind and patient with her. She has made numerous friends. It seems there has been a large turnover in staff there, but finally seems to be a stable. My Mom only has wonderful things to say about the staff, and when I drop in at various times of the day and week, each staff has greeted me friendly. My Mom really likes Jeannie, the activity director, and says she helps her and encourages her to be involved. I also particularly want to give credit to the new director, Preston. He has been outgoing and friendly. I have noticed a change in communication between the staff and family since he started. I particularly appreciate the community parties he is coordinating bringing the family's in for special occasions. And, I appreciate his staff reaching out to me, asking how they are doing, and if there is anything more needed. And, recently he went way above and beyond, when my Mom's glasses broke. She told me that he took the glass home and fixed them for her! How cool is that? It definitely shows his care.
