“8/31/22: This was our first visit. There was plenty of parking and a nice view of the lake. We were greeted by Deacon. He was a great host and bartender. Bo, the chef, stopped by to talk to us and shared his philosophy regarding food preparation and engaging with customers. The draft beer was cold and the blueberry mule was very good. We had the loaded fries with steak, lemon pepper wings and onion rings. The food had was presented very nicely, had great flavor and arrived hot. The restaurant was very clean and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Will definitely return to try the steaks and the rest of the menu.”

“This “Saucer” is part of a small chain of real ale bars. As a member, when you have drunk 200 different beers, you get a plate (a saucer) on the wall with your name on. Thus it attracts repeat business. Of course you could just enjoy one or two - this one has great lake views from its rear porch.Good choice of beers (over 200). Good pub food. Helpful “Beer Goddesses” (waitresses). What’s not to like? Highly recommended.”

“Incredible experience. It was too hot to sit outside on the patio, but got the next best seat - right by the glass facing the bay. I was able to enjoy the view and even watch a sailboat go by as I ate my Chicken Tampico - loaded with roasted veggies and Mexican corn. It was outstanding and I left feeling full.”

“This place was really pretty good and our server was very pleasant and made some good recommendations. The restaurant was spotless and the seating on the porch was beautiful. Views of the lake were outstanding. It was a beautiful evening and everyone enjoyed the experience. They lose one star on very bad bread that was complimentary and fried shrimp that wasn't that great. The grilled rock fish and shrimp with lobster sauce was very good. Iced tea was really good.”

“3rd UPDATE: 5 STARS AS attitudes of employees have changed drastically. Good service and clean. 2nd UPDATE: moving up. They get one star for improvement. New manager and the changes are underway. Another drop in. Welcomed immediately upon entry. Went to wash my hands to check out ladies room. Clean and plenty of paper towels and no debris on floor. Ordered the Whataburger. Wasn't salty salty like it has been. Service fast. Only drawback was burger wasn't piping hot so meat must have been under the warmer. Still has room for improvement but they are on their way up. Place was super clean and all glass was fingerprint free. All tables were spotless. UPDATE: Dropped in to see what had changed -> slightly remodeled-> staff Much more responsive when you walk in. Food was prepared promptly. 3.5 half stars. Will try Whataburger hamburger next time. Since being bought their food and service have gone straight downhill. A once highly visited place is now only a 2nd thought or backup or for last minute choice but certainly not the top notch burger place from the past. Food is served overly salter and there is no pride in the cleanliness of the facility. The staff does not work together and there doesn't seem to be leadership. Disappointed and took this off my top go to spots.”

“We got the 20 tacos for $22, trompo & pollo. All generously filled, street style with double tortilla, and a whole tray of onion/ cilantro topping and two great casero salsas (orange and green). Meat was tender, moist and had great flavor.”
