Panaderia Guatemalteca "La Mejor"

Although there was a long line. There was more than enough people helping out, to attend us quick. Been here twice and they’ve been very helpful. The bread is always good and I get the fruit tarts because my brother loves it from here!

It looks clean and they have a large selection of pastries. The folks working behind the bakery counter are quick to move the line & very friendly. Aside from pastries & breads, they also sell cakes & flan whole or by the slice.

Love their new location, definitely a big step up for this amazing Bakery. If you never had Guatemala food or sweet please do yourself a favor a try Panaderia La Mejor.

So good. So cute. Very nice and friendly staff that patiently helped me (I speak, solo un poquito Español) ;) and they weren't frustrated or annoyed at all. We wanted to try everything so we ordered way too much but it was all yummy. The masa used in the tamal was moist which was a first for me. Usually tamales are dry. The pork and red sauce on/in it were delish! The potato salad was very good. Crunchy and fresh. Had a chile relleno and a type of stewed chicken with potatoes and carrots. Both delicious. We also bought coffee and sweet dessert type breads and cakes. Love the art and the vibe and the adorable Guatemala to Texas mural on the wall. They've done an amazing job in this new location. Mmm! Will forever miss the old Panaderia Guatemala, will miss how it look like before but at least the food, spacing, experience, fast service and every part of the new Panaderia is better! Love that it looks very modern in and out, for me this place will always be 5 stars! (Love the pupusas even if they're a bit expensive) ✨
