Amazing food, staff and atmosphere! My experience was superb!! Our waitress was super sweet and understanding (got there close to closing thinking they were open later than 9PM). We did not want to be a burden but the staff at this restaurant was nothing but welcoming! Thank you so very much. We’ve found our new Cajun food spot! And it’s only a few minutes from my home which is an even bigger plus.
Next best thing to Nawlins. Well, pretty close anyway. Staff was very helpful and friendly, not intrusive yet attentive. Food was Cajun, to be sure, meaning well spiced and not spicy. The gator appetizer was fresh and peppery, the seafood gumbo was also fresh and hot [rice was perfectly cooked, too] and the jambalaya pasta was incredible. Had a rat toe, which was new to me, but a great mix of crab and shrimp in a zippy jalapeño and fried. Everything on the table.looked and smelled delicious but just couldn't get a bit of everything without over stuffing myself. Another place to make a trip to next time I'm in Dallas.
Came here after all the hype wanting Cajun food in Dallas. Started the meal with a seafood gumbo, which was a solid 8/10. Went to entrees, with very well seasoned and flavorful dishes. I ordered the etoufee skillet, and it was a very nice 8/10. Lastly, the dessert was the only mediocre part with a 6/10. (Bread Pudding) If the dessert was better and service was more adequate, this restaurant would deserve a 5 for sure. Will be returning soon with high expectations for a 5-star.
