“My two sisters and I brought mom to McKinley Place in Cedarburg, WI two years ago when she could no longer live alone. It was a difficult decision for us as daughters and a very difficult transition for mom as she loved her home in Illinois and did not want to leave there. But with no family in a 2-hour radius and with increasing medical and health concerns, mom could no longer live alone. In spite of that difficult transition, we are so thankful that we made the decision for mom to live at McKinley Place. It has been filled with exceptional staff who have tenderly and compassionately cared for mom. They were there for her before the pandemic, encouraging her as she adjusted to living in this new community and helped her adjust to a new way of living by allowing the support of caregivers. They also supported us, as daughters, to love and care for mom with a team approach. We knew that she was now within 8 miles of her eldest daughter, who could be there any time for support, but mom was also safe and well cared for by qualified staff 24/7. Since the pandemic, my sisters and I were impressed that McKinley Place did not have a single case of Coronavirus in the building from March 2020 until October 2020. And even then, there was only a small number of resident and staff cases, keeping the lockdown regulations at a minimum. We know that this was due to their diligence in adhering to strict guidelines. Although it was not easy to live with these regulations for residents, family, or staff, it resulted in a low number of cases in the building. It was also impressive that staff members stepped up to the plate, taking on responsibilities that were not normally their duty in an assisted living environment. They never complained and were humble when thanked, responding that they did not mind, even though it significantly added to their duties. Our family gratefully thanks all McKinley Place staff for their compassionate care of our mom and support of our family during this time.”

“Went in for another Takata airbag recall repair. Tom saw I had already been in for one a year prior & made sure the repair was necessary (yes, according to recall.) Lounge area has deluxe amenities: excellent complementary snack & beverage area, giant plasma screen, wifi, & plenty of seating spread out so you can read or work on laptop. Friendly helpful staff completes the package. Thanks!”

“This was the 1st dress shop we stopped at to find a Quince dress for my daughter and we almost walked out because it was super small and the seamstress was busy with other clients, and she literally walked over to us and said no no wait have a seat and I'll get back with you and handed us catalogs. We felt like that was great gesture and good customer service. So we sat and waited and within 2 mins the clients were on their way and she started asking us what we were looking for. We told her the details, theme and colors were interested in and right away she shows us 2 dresses that were similar but only 1 was the exact style we were looking for!!! So she saw how interested and excited my daughter got and she took it off the hanger and said here try it on! I mean, we had only stopped in to look around and it was a dress shop that my daughter kept eyeing and looking at when we passed by that road. So she tried it on and from that moment, we stuck with that dress shop!!!!! But that's what sets this dress shop apart from all the glitzy and glamorous quince dress shops. Betssy's Quinceneras is a simple and yet very attention to detail dress shop where she treats all of her customers as family! Oh and she does alterations as well. My daughter was a dama for another quinceñera and she altered a long evening gown to a shorter length dress!!!”
