I have been taking lessons from Steve for over 2 years. He tailored his lessons based upon my existing knowledge of theory, tab, chord progressions and finger positions. He has a firm grasp on all of them. Steve continues to make every lesson interesting by increasing my knowledge in these and other areas. It is clear that he loves his job...which keeps me coming back.

I very much enjoyed my time learning from Steve. He is an excellent guitar teacher and I have made noticeable strides in my playing. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to further progress their guitar and music skills.

I highly recommend Guitar Instruction of Richardson. I work full time but wanted to try and learn to play the Guitar in what little spare time I had. Steve has a very comfortable/patient teaching style... He allows you to play the music you like, is very knowledgeable, and will work with you when you have a schedule conflict that interferes with your scheduled lesson (very important for me since I travel frequently for work). I especially like having a 1 hour lesson every 2 weeks instead of half hour weekly lessons that most everyone else seems to promote. I liked him so much that I introduced my son to him also. Unlike me, my son is already a good guitar player but wanted to take lessons to learn more about music theory. He also rates Steve 5 stars. You can't go wrong with Steve, superior service at a very reasonable price. But be aware, the address listed in Google is not correct; he is actually up on Arapaho.

Both my teenage sons take lessons with Steve. He keeps them motivated and engaged by teaching them the music THEY want to learn. I was so impressed with their progress that I started lessons w/ Steve, too and am having a blast. I love Steve's easy demeanor and teaching style. Give him a try!

Steve is an outstanding guitar instructor and wonderful person. He’s enthusiastic about teaching and very knowledgeable; making each lesson something I look forward to. I tried teaching myself and taking online lessons, but I’m learning more and making much better progress with the personalized instruction I get from Steve.
