5th Gear has had a hand in maintaining my Porsche for several years. This time I spent a couple hours with Nate at the Lewisville "high performance shop" as he did his routine inspection and oil change. For a car guy it was fascinating, as this time I stayed to watch and learn. The level of knowledge and experience that Nate showed was extraordinary. I've seen his work previously and he literally knows each nut and bolt. Its now with great confidence that I can leave the 911 Turbo in his hands. No doubt in my mind that Fifth Gear Automotive takes care of their customers. Brandon and Jeff stayed in contact with me to ensure that my 2018 F-150 was taken care of quickly and effectively. Their shop foreman, Matt, also took the time to ride along with me in order to confirm his diagnosis of my issue and hear the problems I was experiencing in my truck. The then went above and beyond to ensure that my truck was clean and even made sure that my key had fresh batteries. I will without a shadow of a doubt continue to bring my vehicles to this location, and will recommend my friends and family to do the same.

Let me start by saying that I am extremely cautious about who touches my 1967 Corvette. Most technicians today have very little knowledge about these older cars and are afraid to work on them. So finding a competent shop that is willing to work on my '67 can be challenging to say the least.
I did my due diligence in checking out Fifth Gear Automotive and called them to "interview" them over the phone. I was fortunate to have Jeff Smith (Service Advisor) answer the phone. I spent about five minutes asking Jeff questions about my car's needs. She needed a four wheel alignment and strut rods installed. Now, though this may not sound like a big deal...it is. There are few alignment shops that are capable and who can correctly align an old Corvette with independent rear suspension. Jeff assured me that their alignment tech (Dave Chase) could do the job.
I set an appointment to bring my "baby" to Jeff. First impressions are a big deal to me and Jeff, Dave and their facility impressed. Jeff and Dave made me feel like a long time customer and their demeanor set me at ease.
Dave took care of my car as though it were his very own. She had to spend the night at the facility and they kept her inside their immaculate shop...safe and sound.
On the 25 mile ride home, my Corvette tracked like it was on rails...and, this was with two rear tires that were badly worn. I have two new tires on order and once they're mounted I will take her back to Fifth Gear to have the alignment re-checked.
So far, I'm one happy camper...and, that's not easy to accomplish.

After the disaster of my tire falling off because another shop put the wrong lug nuts on my brand new rims ruining them I went here and they are great! The mechanics are very knowledgeable and got me put back together at a respectable price and had the truck done in a great timely manner. They have my trust 👍

Absolutely fantastic office. The front office people are helpful and the doctors patient and reassuring. Dr. McCray was very thorough in helping explain some medical issues I have and I feel prepared for my upcoming steps.
