As a local Realtor, I look for places to recommend to my clients for a nice night out with good food and a nice setting. Bella Maca offers an easy menu with a good variety. We had the empanada appetizer which was paired with a fresh chimicurri that really added nice flavor. I had the Braised Beef with polenta, which was good, and my wife had the Chimicurri Sandwhich, she said it was tasty.
I recommend Bella Maca and will be back to try others things on the menu.
We will be back! The teenagers had chicken parm, hubs had the special which was shrimp, pancetta and rigatoni and I had the risotto w seafood which had shrimp, muscles, octopus, and squid in a red sauce. Everyone was very, very happy. A bottle of wine and a serving of chocolate temptation cake and we are all very, very happy! And trust the chef and have the house salad dressing and the house salad (I ordered a side salad).
A wonderful dinner out for our family of 5! Our server was incredibly sweet and accommodating. Delicious Argentinian wine and steak pincho. One of my best meals in the Denton area. Definitely worth a bit of a wait if there is one! We can’t wait to come back.
TL;DR - Chef-owned, chef-run with an intriguing Argentinian / Italian fusion cuisine that's expertly executed in an open kitchen. Highly recommended!
Bar: We had a table for four on a recent Friday night but started by arriving a bit early for drinks at the bar. The bar has a solid selection of craft beers, cocktails and wine from Italy, Argentina, and Chile. Beers were large, cocktails were all well-made. All were reasonably priced.
Appetizers: We ordered the empanadas and the charcuterie board. Unfortunately, my photo of the empanadas only shows half of an empanada. There were 3 and they were great. We ate them quickly. Then we remembered the camera. The charcuterie board was unique in that it contained a very nice portion of expertly cooked steak, cut into pieces for easy sharing. I also was particularly fond of the house-picked vegetables and the sausages. My thought after sharing it was "if I come back, this is could easily be my meal."
Mains: I had the short rib. Get the short rib. It was truly one of the best I've ever had anywhere. The only other dish I tasted was the "grandma's ragu" that my wife had. If you like pasta, this is your dish as it was also wonderful. Our guests also greatly enjoyed their shrimp risotto and neopolitan milanese.
Desserts: Yes, we also ate dessert. The cheesecake was competently made but was not the New York style that I prefer (and it wasn't listed as such). However, the tres leches cake was a masterwork. When it was brought to the table I thought it was a mistake as it was 3 layers tall. I've never seen a layered tres leches. And I didn't think one was possible due to the liquid content. Well, apparently if you do it just right, it is indeed possible and it's magnificent. I regret they were out of the tiramisu as that plus the tres leches was our first pick.
If you've read to here you'll see we had a great time and will surely be back if for no other reason than to taste the tiramisu. In the meantime, go support Bella Maca as Corinth needs this restaurant.
Outstanding cuisine and super service! The wine selection is excellent with twist to verity. Even the atmosphere wonderful. This is a wonderful local business that my wife and I will frequent.
