The NICEST people I’ve ever met, fixed my skates for me for free and helped me work around my schedule to come in and get them fixed too. Plus the shop is just sooooo aesthetically pleasing. Definitely coming back soon.
I am brand-new to skating. Ace, the owner, patiently helped me find a pair of skates with a perfect fit, ideal beginner's wheels, and safety gear. Worth the drive to Denton!
I came in only having a bit of experience with skating from my childhood and wanted to buy some quad skates. The store is small but everything in there is quality product. Ace helped me size myself in the skates I wanted, and they ordered the skates in my size to be sent to my home (they carried the color I wanted, but not in my size). They also set up my indoor wheels with bearings. The skates arrived with no problem! I definitely recommend this store to anyone who isn’t too sure about buying skates, Ace is very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have :)
BEST TIPS EVER!!! Had the worst wobble in my skates and ace of skates flawlessly provided an additional tip to apply washers beneath each wheel before putting on the nut and tightening for BEST results, also rotated my pivot cups and provided instructions on making my own!! All for no charge!!! BEST STORE EVER FOR ACCESSORIES AND EQUIPMENT TOO!!!!!! LOVE IT HERE!!!!
What a great little skate shop!
My wife and I worked with Ace, the owner, and they took the time to listen to her needs and wants for skates, safety gear, and accessories, and helped her pick the right gear for her. They customize the skates as well and is a very talented artist in that respect.
They run short hours, so you'll have to plan your trip, but it's worth it to get the kind of quality gear and service that you wouldn't get from a large sporting goods store.
The prices were fair. We bought new skates, laces, a helmet, pads, pad accessories, some stickers, a couple of boot accessories, and a shirt and spent about $450. I'm usually a tightwad, but I left feeling like we got a great deal, and my wife left feeling very happy about the equipment, and we get a special discount on our next purchase! So this is going to be our first stop for derby equipment from now on. I'd say Ace played their cards right. 😄
