She Shall Rejoice

Meghann was my doula for my hospital birth. The support and information she provided pre-labor was invaluable. She met my husband and me at my house at 2 a.m. when I was in labor and helped me through the early times of active labor at my home.

At hospital, Meghann helped my husband and me make informed decisions and prepped my delivery room with everything we needed from aromatherapy to requesting the birth and peanut ball from the staff. My husband especially appreciated her because she was able to guide him with where to apply pressure on my body to ease contraction cramps.

She’s also soft spoken, empathetic, and calm which is definitely the type of doula you want during labor!

My husband and I opted for a natural, out-of-hospital birth. We did not have family close by able to support us, and our birth center strongly recommended having a doula.

A friend of ours knew Meghann, and as Orthodox Christians we were drawn to her, especially being united in our experience with big families, home schooling, and similar faiths. Her knowledge of birth helped me through the physical labour, but her faith in God helped me through the spiritual labour.

I would recommend Meghann to any first time parent (regardless of if you go natural or hospital!), especially if you are looking for a Christian doula.

Meghann is the best! Before giving birth I wasn’t sure about the importance of a doula. Now I 100% recommend a doula and not just any but Meghann! She helped me throughout my entire labor and stood by my side! She knew exactly what positions to put me in for more progression! Trust me, you need her as your doula!!! 🥰

Working with Meghann was such a positive part of my pregnancy. She has a soothing presence and calm energy. She welcomed my older two kids each time we got together and included them in the excitement. I loved all of the questions she had me reflect on, and it was so easy to open up to Meghann about my dreams and fears regarding the pregnancy/birth. She listened to everything I had to say, and had helpful responses and insight. She lent me books from her personal library that were perfect recommendations for me. I felt like we were longtime friends. Meghann is so supportive and had no judgement towards any of my choices. She just wanted to be there for me and whatever *I* wanted. I am so happy that she was recommended to me, and I would love to have her by my side in future pregnancies.

Meghann"s kindness and love during the birth of my second child was a much more calming and soothing experience. I feel blessed Meghann was with me!
