Good place to take the kiddos. There are multiple slides and obsticles to play on. My son is 6 and he really enjoyed the play structures.
Newly renovated, Jake’s Hilltop playground is nicely improved! The new equipment is fun and still challenging for the kids. The shaded swing set is nice, but only two regular swings. Our kids also enjoyed the light up challenge game.
It was a missed opportunity for the town to add some shaded benches, though, and no word so far on the promised future splashpad.
Still a great improvement to the playground.
Jake's Hilltop Park is mostly a sports park and playground area. There are a lot of places without shade but trees have been recently planted and will improve the park as they grow and mature. Large landscaping rocks have been installed and they add interest and backgrounds for photos.
This park is one of three access points to a long trail system called the Pink Evening Primrose Trail which is named after a native wildflower that grows in the area. There are frequent mile markers along the trail to help everyone know exactly where they are. There is one area of the trail that has very little shade but overall it is a nice walk. There are plans in place to expand the walking trail in the future. It would be really nice if those plans include adding more trees along the trail as well as adding more trees to the entire park and all pathways.
It's just up the street frome me but, that's not what makes it special. It's one of the best places in Flower Mound to see a sunrise or sunset. There are walking trails throughout the park. A play area for kids. Basketball courts, baseball fields and a pavilion too. Its great for walks, picknicks or just a quiet place to think.
This park is great for multiple age children. Lots of activities to do. Various places for the kids to climb and balance and play. There is very little shade so keep that in mind during the hot months. There are 2 benches and one of those are in the shade. They have a large swing station with 2 baby swings. Although one of the baby swings is mishaped. There are bathrooms located at the concession building. The door seems locked if you turn the handle but you just push it open for access.
