Who knew? When I went looking online for a Zoom t’ai chi class, I didn’t know I’d find a teacher as outstanding as Susan. She is not only very knowledgeable in her field, but she knows how to reach her students conveying the big ideas in manageable chunks with analogies, descriptions and feedback. She uses a “light touch” to convey heavy ideas. My energy is much better and my back pain alleviated with my consistent practice.
Susan is an absolutely amazing teacher! I love how she breaks down every move, making it very simple and understandable. Also, in every class, even from the beginning, she is explaining energy, and how it flows, and ways to visualize the flow to make your practice better. She is super kind and encouraging; people with physical barriers and disabilities are welcome in the class, and she actively finds ways to make the practice accessible.
All live classes are recorded, so you can make up any class you miss. The online content is thoughtful, helpful and clear.
I highly recommend Flowing Mobility Tai Chi!
I have been a student of Susan’s for about 4 years, now. And have been taking classes online. I always thought Tai Chi was beautiful and just never had a chance to get into it. Susan began classes a few years ago in my community and I decided to try it. Love it! Susan is a kind and caring instructor and knows and respects the Tai Chi principles. She takes a lot of time helping us build on these principles as we learn. I have told many people (and I will say it again) that Susan is the best instructor I have ever had for various classes over the years. She has a special way in helping students visualize how we should execute the movements in Tai Chi. Give her class a try!
I am using my husband’s google acct to write this review. So this is Sandy. I started taking classes in Tai Chi from Susan in mid May 2016 & continued till Apr 2018. I was unable to take from her after that due to logistics. However, I continued to visit her videos from time to time and when she let me know she was teaching online in April of this year, I joined class again. She is caring and considerate in her approach to teaching. Explains and uses illustrations (& sometimes humor) that paint a picture for ease of grasping (& remembering) concepts. She is passionate about Tai Chi and her love of it spills over into her teaching.
One feels at ease in her class with her accepting attitude, and her encouragement & corrections are straight forward and helpful. On top of that she is a lovely person.
This is the place to learn Tai Chi and Chi Gong. Susan is very patient and caring, and concerned about every student. She provides a warm, safe place to learn a new art. And there is MUCH more to it than just rhythmic, balanced, beautiful movements! Know that this is not something you will master right away, but part of the learning here is to be patient with yourself. You will experience benefits from the first week, and they will slowly increase as you practice. No one is too old to benefit from this.
