I am so thankful and want to share about the level of care given to my son at Excel Center.
My son has been under the care of the administrative leadership and staff at Excel Center for mental health and this is his fourth visit. Most important is with each time that he is come he has made significant progress. He audibly uses some of the coping skills that they have instilled in him.
And we understand that this is a journey. The staff listen they speak to us and not at us. My son feels safe, and heard which is important to his progress and growth. I have brought him back to Excel because the director Stacy has truly guided he and I on this journey toward wholeness with mental health care. It is also important that the provides a continuity of care.
It is critical to me that everybody who comes in contact with my son understands and is willing to provide the level of support he needs given how they encounter him. Everyone has been excellent this includes the driver, the nurse, the doctor, and the therapists. Everyone there is truly offered support and affirmation. I have made several recommendations to other families who have had similar needs for mental health support and have brought their young people to the center and have come away with confidenc e.
I went to the Excel Center in Lewisville and it truly helped me so much. The coping skills they have given me help me everyday now. All of the staff was extremely nice to me and helped through a lot of stuff. I would 100% recommend anyone to go to this facility if you are struggling with anything.
I worked as an intern at Excel Center of Lewisville. There are absolutely no other professionals on the planet who work harder for the kids there. I was there for 9 months. The staff is often working until 8:30 at night just to prepare for the next day. The kids were blessed with some of the best therapists and administrators known to mankind. The nurse and support staff would do anything for a kid to experience success. Some kids made life changing turnarounds. That makes it worth it.
After reading many mixed reviews, I was nervous about sending my son here for help. My 15yo son was severely depressed, anxious and has ADHD. He was really isolating himself from friends and doing poorly in school. Excel Center has provided him with great coping skills and taught him how to re-focus back to public school. He loved the group therapy and his therapist, James. I highly recommend this for your child or adolescent. As with any program, please remember that the individual has to want the help in order to receive it well. My son is the one who initiated wanting to talk with someone and wanted to get help. I hope if you're reading this, you will give this place a chance.
